Overview

Compounding plays a vital role in providing individualized therapy for veterinary patients, particularly when commercial products are unavailable or unsuitable.

This session explores the unique considerations involved in compounding medications for both companion and exotic animals, including formulation challenges, species-specific pharmacology, and regulatory compliance.     Scott Denney, PharmD

    Scott Denney, PharmD, is a pharmacist at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Regis University in 2019 and has since developed strong interests in veterinary critical care, precepting fourth-year pharmacy students, and all aspects of exotic animal medicine. Scott is passionate about supporting high-quality patient care and helping train the next generation of pharmacists. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking with his dog, Aspen, and spending time baking.

    1. Attend the live webinar in full (login and logout times will be recorded).
    2. Complete a learning assessment (minimum 75% passing grade, two attempts permitted) within 14 days.
