Can You Compound That? Guiding the Decision-Making Process on Compounding Preparations (PFM On-demand)
Brought to you in partnership with the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding
Please note that this is the on-demand version of the webinar for APC Pharmacy/Facility Members.
The live webinar was recorded on November 10th, 2022.
Overview
In addition to ensuring whether the compounded prescription is appropriate for the particular patient, determining whether the preparation itself can be compounded forms part of the daily decision-making processes faced by compounding pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Set in a game show style format, this fun and interactive webinar aims to enhance your knowledge on which active ingredients can (and can’t) be compounded, as well as guidance on general recommendations on facilitating decisions on whether to compound a preparation.
Drug preparations explored in this activity will cover FDA’s current recommendations on drug shortage list, drugs not to be used in compounding medications, and bulk drug substances.
