Senior Scientist Healthcare Quality & Safety, USP Compounding Expert Committee

Selma is the Senior Scientist for the Compounding Expert Committee at USP within the Healthcare Quality and Safety Collaborative Group. Driven by the mission to improve public health through standards development, she leads and coordinates the activities of the Compounding Expert Committee to develop and revise compounding-related general chapters and compounded preparation monographs. Most recently, she led the Expert Committee through the revisions of <797> and <795>. Prior to USP, Selma was a pharmacist at Cornell University. Selma earned her PharmD from Butler University.

 

Vanessa Pinheiro, BS Pharm, MSc, RPh

Vice Chair, USP Compounding Expert Committee

Vanessa is a compounding pharmacist with over 20 years of experience that she applies as a Compounding Services Manager at Medisca, Vice Chair of the USP Compounding Expert Committee, and Facilitator of USP <795> and USP <797> laboratory programs at LP3 Network. Vanessa has a wealth of knowledge on the practical implementation of USP <795> and <797>, supporting compounding pharmacies across the country with achieving a compliant and high quality output practice. Vanessa received her Masters from the University of Sao Paulo, taught at the College of Pharmacy at the University Suprema in Brazil, and is the former owner of Rx Pharmaceutica and Petfarma Pharmacies.

 

Mark Filosi, BS Pharm, RPh

Founder & Owner, Family Care Pharmacy

Mark is a pharmacist with over 25 years of experience in compounding pharmacy that he applies as Founder and Owner of Family Care Pharmacy in Tampa Bay Florida, Facilitator or LP3 Network non-sterile and sterile programs, Coach for Medisca Pharmacy Coaching Services specializing in the development and growth of compounding pharmacies, and Board Member of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding. Mark specializes in BHRT and metabolic health with expertise in high risk sterile compounding and hazardous non-sterile compounding. Over the years, Mark also served as a surveyor for PCAB/ACHC. Mark received his bachelor in pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.

 

Mike Shafor, PharmD, RPh

Director of Quality Control, Oncology Plus

Mike is a fourth generation pharmacist who grew up working in independent retail pharmacies. Over the last 15 years, Mike has dedicated his career to building non-sterile and sterile compounding pharmacies from the ground up and has managed everything from a home infusion pharmacy to the pharmaceutical accounts of the Miami Dolphins. Florida Marlines, Miami Heat, and Florida Panthers. Mike is currently the Director of Quality Control at Oncology Plus, an ACHC-accredited, closed-door hazardous compounding pharmacy in Tampa Florida. Mike is also the facilitator of LP3 Network's USP <797> sterile program. Mike received his PharmD from Nova Southeastern University.

 

Christine Roussel, PharmD, BCOP, BCSCP

Senior Executive Director of Pharmacy, Doylestown Hospital

Christine is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist, Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist, Senior Executive Director of Pharmacy at Doylestown Hospital in Pennsylvania, Adjunct Professor at USciences, Facilitator of LP3 Network's USP <800> Hazardous Drug Seminar, and Consultant for Medisca. Christine's expertise includes occupational exposure to hazardous drugs, sterile and non-sterile compounding, clinical and legislative topics, and cleanroom facility design. Christine is active in many professional organizations including Delegate for the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy, Vice Chair for the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy, among more. Christine attained her PharmD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

In the event that LP3 Network cancels a course, LP3 Network's sole liability shall be course repayment. In no event shall LP3 Network be responsible for any costs related to travel and/or accommodation. A written request must be sent to LP3 Network Inc. requesting ‘Cancellation without Transfer’ to an alternate live activity event date. If cancellation occurs at greater than or equal to 31 days from live activity event date, then registrant will receive a 75% refund; 15-30 days a 50% refund; and less than or equal to 14 days no refund. There are no refunds, returns, or transfer requests upon purchase of a home study, digital work book, webinar, and eLearning modules. LP3 NETWORK INC. shall be excused from any delay caused by reason of any occurrence or contingency beyond its reasonable control (a “Force Majeure”), including but not limited to, acts of God, hurricane, earthquake, labour disputes, strikes, riots, war, and governmental requirements. The obligation to pay money to LP3 NETWORK INC. in a timely manner is absolute and shall not be subject to this Force Majeure provision. In such event, LP3 NETWORK INC. will not issue any refunds, only transfer to an alternate live activity event date.
