Dr. Peter Marta—affectionately known as Dr. Pete—is a board-certified physician with over 20 years of medical experience, specializing in men’s hormone health, metabolic optimization, and integrative care.
After decades in medicine, including board certification in general surgery, Dr. Pete has evolved his practice to focus on what he believes is the true foundation of long-term health: hormonal balance, metabolic function, and sustainable lifestyle change. Today, he works with men to address the often-overlooked drivers behind low energy, reduced strength, weight gain, low libido, and sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Pete is the creator of Codex, a science-backed program designed to help men navigate “Manopause” through personalized hormone therapy, targeted nutrition, and integrative health strategies. His approach goes beyond symptom management—focusing instead on restoring vitality, improving metabolic health, and helping patients perform at their best in every aspect of life.
His philosophy is deeply influenced by both his clinical experience and his personal journey, as well as the pioneering work of his wife, Dr. Tracy Verrico, in women’s health. Together, their shared perspective emphasizes treating the whole person—not just isolated symptoms.
Known for his warm, down-to-earth style, Dr. Pete combines clinical precision with a highly personalized approach to care. He views medicine as both a science and an art—where data, intuition, and patient partnership come together to create meaningful, lasting results.
Dr. Pete holds a master’s degree in biology from Rutgers University, with a focus on molecular biology, and earned his medical degree from UMDNJ. He has been published in major medical journals and remains committed to advancing the conversation around men’s health and hormone optimization.
