Leila Turner completed her undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology. During this time, she co-founded the Naturopathic Medical Student Association, reflecting her early leadership in the naturopathic profession. Dr. Turner went on to earn her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2007, where she received both the SCNM Student Leadership Award and the Daphne Blayden Award upon graduation. She later served as an Assistant Professor at SCNM, contributing to curriculum development and was honored with the Alumni Award in 2011. In 2016, she founded Living Wellness Medical Center, where she continues to see patients and also leads a residency program training the next generation of naturopathic physicians. Dr. Turner is also a co-founder of the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, where she currently serves as president. Through her Docere Center programs, she provides clinical and business coaching and education for naturopathic students and physicians, advancing mentorship and clinical excellence within the profession.
