Overview
We will cover key clinical criteria, drug properties, and patient-specific considerations to determine when transdermal compounding is an effective and safe choice for veterinary patients. Using case based scenarios, we will explore available treatment options and decision making processes for when transdermal compounds are an appropriate alternative in cases where conventional routes are limited or unavailable.

Ashley Bell is a clinical veterinary pharmacist at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and a contributing editor for Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook. Dr. Bell earned her PharmD from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She is a Diplomate of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy and also serves as the chair of the Student Engagement committee for the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists (SVHP). Her professional interests include development of compounded formulations, antibiotic stewardship, and advancement of veterinary pharmacy education for both veterinary and pharmacy students. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time on her farm with her 3 rescue dogs, 2 horses, a miniature donkey, and several chickens affectionately called “Roxanne and the Police”.

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS
- Attend the live webinar in full (login and logout times will be recorded).
- Complete a learning assessment (minimum 75% passing grade, two attempts permitted) within 14 days.
- Submit a completed live event evaluation form online within 14 days.
When the aforementioned steps have been completed and approved:
- Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians registered in the United States will obtain a statement of completed credits on their NABP e-Profile within 60 days.
- Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians registered elsewhere will receive an automated email from LP3 Network advising that they can download a statement of participation.
- All participants will receive an automated email from LP3 Network advising that they can download the LP3 Network certificate of completion.
